PELHAMS GROUP, ZIMBABWE

The Pelhams Group was the largest furniture retailer in the country operating under the Pelhams, Bradlows, Banet and Harris, and FDC banners throughout Zimbabwe.  A major sales initiative resulted in the construction of new stores and acquisition of existing retail outlets nationwide.

Their flagship store and head off was located in Bechuana House built in 1929.  It was renamed Pelhams House after a major refit including the formation of an internal atrium onto which the shop space opened and installation of panoramic lifts serving the upper retail levels.

As architects for the Pelhams Group we provided full services for architectural design; working drawings and schedules; interior design services; co-ordination of structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services; interior design and construction contract management services throughout Zimbabwe.
