HARTMANN HOUSE PREPARATORY SCHOOL CHAPEL, HARARE, ZIMBABWE
Hartmann House is an independent, preparatory day school for boys founded in 1957 and named after Fr Hartmann SJ, a chaplain to the Pioneer Column who lived at St. George's College, Harare. The Chapel, constructed in the 1960’s, was designated for an important upgrade with us being commissioned by the school for the interior design works which included the installation of a new and illuminated alter canopy, new alter podium, purpose designed marble alter table and chapel lighting.
We undertook the architectural services, interior and lighting design and commissioned a local Zimbabwean artist to design the Stations of the Cross murals to relate to the children.
